Blower Door Test Results At
1717 Arlington Street
💨Get Ready To Be Blown Away With These Results!
📅At the end of March, we had our pre-blower door test done at 1717 Arlington Street.
On June 14th, 2021, Rob Hewski from Northeast AeroBarrier came again to do our final test right before certificate of occupancy.
🌀In a MBD (multipoint blower door) Test, the building’s actual CFM (cubic feet per minute) is determined at different pressures.
🌀For the results to be official, it should be plotted in a straight line or close to it.
❗️The results are to be plotted to measure the infiltration at any given pressure providing more accuracy than a single point test.
🧠 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬👇🏻
🔹The rings on the fan are called flow rings.
🔹 The smaller the ring size, the less makeup air needs to maintain 50 pascals of pressure inside the building, meaning a tighter envelope.
Our Results?!
🥁🥁🥁
2.93 ACH 🙌🏻🏆
🔹 The infiltration level required is 5 ACH or less.
⬇️The lower the rating, the better air tightness and energy efficiency.
✨However, we build to achieve under 3 ACH as our standard at GRIT.
Special 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 again to @northeast_aerobarrier for coming out to train us and perform our test 🙌🏻

🧱 If it’s GRIT built, it is a building you can depend on because GRIT cares.
