GRIT Construction welcomes its latest project award—2401 Frankford Avenue. Designed by the award-winning team at Ambit Architecture, the new 15-unit construction resembles the distinctive triangular shape of our mini flatiron in Queen Village. The 14,392 sqft, four-story building will feature a commercial space on the ground floor. The Fishtown Flatiron will also boast a green roof, making it the second green roof project that comes to GRIT. (see, Green Roof Project at Mascher Street)
Architecture & Design
The Fishtown Flatiron will exhibit a blend of industrial and Tudor revival design elements that are inspired by the historic buildings in the surrounding area. The mixed-use building’s façade will be covered with red brick and white trim. There will be decks on the third and fourth floors as well as five bicycle spaces for the building’s residents.
Joining Forces Again
We are thrilled to be working with Ambit Architecture to deliver another incredible flatiron to our clients at Philly Capital Group. The Fishtown Flatiron is expected to be finished by Fall 2022.
